Where we are

NNOC and CNA now represent nearly 130,000 RNs in about 300 facilities throughout the nation, including Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.

Press releases

Nearly 100 union nurses from across the U.S. protested outside the April 27 Frist Family Gala at the Frist Art Museum in Nashville, Tenn., a black-tie event named for the family that founded and is a major shareholder in HCA, the largest for-profit health care company in the country.
Ascension nurses continue to call for urgent changes at the sprawling hospital chain after the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health named Ascension to its annual “Dirty Dozen” list of employers who put workers and communities at risk due to unsafe practices.
Nurses in El Paso, Texas, will hold a rally Thursday, April 25, at Las Palmas Medical Center as they begin negotiations on a new union contract with HCA, the facility’s owner. Nurses from both Las Palmas and Del Sol medical centers will attend and speak at the rally, and they say their key priorities for their new contract are intended to improve patient care and working conditions at their facility.
Registered nurses at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, will hold an informational picket to highlight their deep concerns about patient care if the administration moves forward with plans to reassign RNs to work in areas where they do not have training nor expertise.

Organize with National Nurses Organizing Committee to improve workplace standards through collective bargaining, reform national health care legislation, and make a difference for you and your patients.
